Vanity Teen Magazine: Behind the Scenes of 'The Explorer' Menswear Shoot

Today I got to style an amazing menswear shoot for Vanity Teen Magazine (www.vanityteen.com) at the beautiful Eggcorn Studios based in Charlton. The studio was a brilliant size and had amazing outside features where the shoot was based. The sun was shining too which made it even more perfect!

The shoot was inspired by lots of SS17 menswear collections hinting at a travel/explorer theme. From the likes of Prada and Gucci to Lanvin and Topman Design. The Explorer trend is set to be very popular this summer and the best part is that there is so many ways to interpret the trend.

I took my Explorer to be someone who had perhaps wandered through the jungle exploring nature. I like the idea of lots of layers and the use of headscarves around the head, waist and arms to really exaggerate the explorer theme. The use of prints and patterns clashing within a similar colour palette really helped to bring the story together as one. It's all in the details!

This whole shoot has inspired me to travel more and experience trends happening all over the world. What are your favourite fashions from across the globe?

Final shots will be out in Vanity Teen in April 2017. Watch this space!
